Steve Peszat Joins Peaslee Tech as Program Manager

LAWRENCE – Peaslee Tech Executive Director, Dr. Kevin Kelley, announced today that Steve Peszat has joined Peaslee Tech as a Program Manager.

Peaslee has developed strong relations with Douglas County organizations as a reliable provider of training programs and consulting services. Over the past few years, Peaslee Tech has provided training to hundreds of company’s employees in a wide array of programs, from frontline leadership to robotics.

Steve brings 20 years’ experience in adult learning and development – developing people, courses, and the business – primarily with Cerner Corporation in Kansas City. Prior to that he was in hands-on technical roles in software implementation and support with Marriott Hotels and Cerner.

While at Cerner he was asked to take over the technical training delivered to clients. By the end of his tenure at Cerner, Steve was directing their client-facing, revenue-generating software training program-analyzing training needs, identifying and prioritizing new opportunities, working with business owners to define requirements, developing project plans and timelines, then seeing the new product make a difference.

Located at 2920 Haskell Avenue, the Peaslee Tech’s mission is to be a catalyst for economic growth by providing access to technical training to a diverse community of learners to meet the current and emerging needs of our communities and employers. Peaslee Tech offers a wide range of technical and technology courses.

LAWRENCE ROBOTICS TEAM EARNS JUDGE’S AWARD AT REGIONAL COMPETITION

Elementary and middle school students from Level Up Robots in Lawrence, Kan. took 4th place overall and brought home the Judge’s Award in the TCALC Vex Spin Up Blended Tournament, held February 18 at the Topeka Center for Advanced Learning and Careers. The team, made up of four students in 5th through 8th grades, competed in a field that included 25 high school and eight middle school teams from across Kansas.
