LAWRENCE – Shirley Martin-Smith, Board President, Dwayne Peaslee Technical Training Center, announced today that Dr. Kevin Kelley has been named the first Chief Executive Officer of Peaslee Tech.

Since 2017, 26 new programs have been developed and implemented at Peaslee Tech. In 2019, there were more 2,200 course enrollments in Peaslee Tech and affiliate courses. The expansion of programs has resulted in the growth of instructional personnel and administrative staff. In the last two years, the Peaslee Tech staff has grown from an Executive Director and a part-time administrative assistant to six non-instructional staff and 32 instructors.

In recognition of his evolving role, the Peaslee Tech Board of Directors reclassified Dr. Kelley’s position from Executive Director to Chief Executive Officer at our 2020 Annual Meeting,” said Shirley Martin-Smith, Board President.
