In the back lobby, Janey Greene, will be showing a few of her latest paintings. Music will be provided by local favorites, Darrell Lea and Cucharada. As always, there will be food and drink provided.

Stephen Smith – is a native Oklahoman who majored in fine arts at the University of Tulsa. The past 25 years of his life has been spent painting full time various subjects with an emphasis on the landscape. His style has evolved from impressionistic to more expressionistic. Bold colors and textured impasto are featured in each of his paintings. His work appears in many private and corporate collections nationwide.

Lila Johnson – The need to create stories started in my early childhood. After one of my first prose works were printed in a local newspaper, I was hooked. Since early 2000, my writing has appeared in various magazine and newspaper articles. My work has appeared in O, The Oprah Magazine and Writers Digest. My two most recent novels, The Fat Girls Club, and The Fat Girls Club Paris Bound, the first two books in a 5 book series, can be found in bookstores nationally and on Amazon.
Working as a travel nurse in the field of dialysis for twenty years, has provided the background to the stories I write. Photography is my second passion. I carry two cameras with me so that I can capture the best photos of my adventures to share with my readers on my websites and on TripAdvisor with a current readership of 200,000.

Janey Greene – Janey Greene is a retired first grade teacher who has found a new passion in acrylic painting. She claims being a visual artist is something she has always wanted to pursue. Her work is graphic and highly stylized. She loves to explore shapes and colors and to push her own boundaries as an artist. Some clients refer to her as a “minimalist”. Local art shows, such as Art in the Park and the Lawrence Art Guild’s All Member Shows, are among her favorite places to exhibit. Ms. Greene also participates in art shows in Prairie Village, Leawood, and Overland Park in the Kansas City area. In 2017, her work appeared in juried gallery shows in Colorado, Arizona, and Arkansas. Her studio, Off The Wall Art, is located in her home in Baldwin City, Kansas.

The Phoenix Gallery will be showcasing several artists that are brand new to the gallery. Come out to browse and see all of the new work in blown glass, jewelry, 2D and Ceramics.
