Knights in armor, Ladies in court dress, and beautiful melodies will take over the Theatre Lawrence stage as Camelot opens Friday, June 8th. The smash success from Alan Jay Lerner (book and lyrics) and Frederick Loewe (music) is based on T. H. White’s book, The Once and Future King.

Broadway’s sweeping tale of passion, pageantry, and betrayal was the winner of four Tony Awards, and three Academy Awards. The Theatre Lawrence stage offers an intimate atmosphere and a fresh look at this classic with its celebrated score that includes “If Ever I Would Leave You,” “The Simple Joys of Maidenhood,” and the title song, “Camelot.”

Join King Arthur (Christoph Cording), and his Queen, Guenevere (Brenna Castor). The Round Table comes to life with the addition of Sir Lancelot (Alan Martin) and one of the most fabled love triangles of all time ensues. Court magician Merlyn (Chuck Mosely) forces the future, but it is Mordred (James LaRocca), King Arthur’s illegitimate son, who sees a kingdom in chaos and attempts to destroy all that is Camelot.

The large cast includes: Jim Tuchscherer as King Pellinore, Secily Rees as Morgan le Fey, and Emily Pons as Nimue. The ensemble includes Beth Dearinger, Carrie Groves, Bob Newton, Charles Whitman, Don Hires, Chris Hatfield, Steve Fendt, Tony Console, Kyle Tichenor, Andy Gaidry, Mario Bonilla, Ryan Hamlin, Michael Osterman, Madelynn Knisley, Anj Riffel, Dawn Shew, Genee Figuieras, Nicole Putnam, Sarah Young,Chelsea Watgen, Patch Keston and Jake Shew.

Direction for the show is by Mary Doveton, Choreography by Molly Gordon, Music Direction by Mary Baker, Set & Lighting Design by James Diemer, Sound Design by Bob Newton, Costume Design by Jane Pennington and Stage Management by Kathi Killman.
