Lawrence Children’s Choir has been selected as one of the 2019 St. Patrick’s Day Parade Foundation beneficiaries. The local organization, comprised of five youth choirs with members ranging from age 3 to grade 10, will participate in, promote, and support this year’s upcoming events that Lawrence St. Patrick’s Day Foundation will be hosting. The money Lawrence Children’s Choir receives from the funds raised will be used to create an endowment fund for tour scholarships, which will allow students to be a part of an annual Tour Choir trip, regardless of their financial situation. The annual trip is a life changing experience that celebrates and showcases all of the hard work the students put into the choir throughout the year, making this opportunity truly special. This scholarship endowment fund will assist with allowing more of our members to travel to destinations all over the world to perform in venues of all sizes and significance. In 2019, the choir will be traveling to four cities in Ireland – Dublin, Sligo, Kilkenney, and Galway and the choir is extremely excited and ready to help make this year’s St. Patrick’s Day events a great success!
