Claire Shanovich recently came onboard at KABC to work on Outreach & Sustainability.
Claire is passionate about good care. “During my work as an in-home care attendant it was deeply troubling when a new client was apprehensive and fearful to be alone with me due to prior poor care experiences. Family members of a loved-one who was nonverbal confided that they were constantly fearful of abuse that might go undetected. These experiences were heartbreaking and were my call to action – dedicating my education and skills to ensure quality care. As an intern I discovered that KABC is a wonderful organization. When the opportunity arose to work with KABC, I just couldn’t stay away. I am honored to serve aging Kansans and their families once again. I look forward to meeting our members, volunteers and supporters around the state, and working with you for good, safe care for older adults.
