LAWRENCE, KANSAS – Sharita Hutton joins L Magazine team of writers.   Salina native Sharita Hutton moved to Kansas City shortly after graduating from Texas Christian University. (If you are wondering in what year, she won’t tell you.)  A Radio/TV Film major who still dreams of one day being able to say she directed an actual film, instead turned her focus to TV. Her resume includes work at 6 News in Lawrence and KCTV 5, KMBC Channel 9 and WDAF Fox 4 in Kansas City.  But it was reporting with Al Jazeera English that earned that first stamp in her passport and gave her the endless dreams of one day traveling the world. She also works at H&R Block in Kansas City as a Communications Manager.

Sharita spends a lot of her time trying to figure out which of her two kids will be late for sports practice and taking care of all the pets that she wishes she told the kids “NO” to. With a dog, a rabbit, guinea pigs, chameleon and two goats (yes, goats), Sharita’s goal is to one day own a farm. This is true!
