Silver Lake Bank opens new Overland Park loan production office with a Feb. 1 ribbon cutting
TOPEKA, KS – Jan. 17, 2023 — Silver Lake Bank is pleased to announce the ribbon cutting for its newest location in Overland Park. The new loan production office is led by Market President John Geiger, a longtime banker and lender in the Kansas City area.
“This office underscores the business growth we’ve experienced in the Kansas City area. There is a hunger for a strong community bank with a focus on helping businesses grow,” said Patrick Gideon, President, and Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”), which is celebrating its 55th year as a family-owned bank. “We were fortunate to connect with the perfect person to be our market president. John Geiger is an experienced and trusted banker, lender, and market president in the Kansas City area, and we couldn’t be happier to have him leading our new location in Overland Park.”
Geiger is well established in the Greater Kansas City market with more than 30 years of commercial banking experience and previously served as Market President and Chief Credit Officer for two other financial institutions until each one sold. He is a graduate of the University of Nebraska at Lincoln with a major in Business Administration with a minor in Economics. John and his wife, Clare, reside in Overland Park. The couple has four children – three college graduates and one at the University of Kansas.

The new loan production office is located at 7206 College Boulevard near Metcalf Avenue, just south of I-435. A ribbon cutting with the Overland Park Chamber of Commerce at the new office is 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1. The public is welcome to attend.
