McGrew Real Estate continues an educational opportunity for agents to learn and grow in their real estate professions. McGrew University kicked off on Thursday, February 27 at Maceli’s Banquet Hall & Catering.
Informative programs centered around business in real estate are hosted each month by McGrew’s President and Managing Broker Dennis Snodgrass and Vice President of Coaching and Mentoring Patrick Flavin. Topics for February were “Smarter Business Plans” and “Understanding Spheres of Influence.”
The event location changes each month to highlight different businesses in and around Lawrence and Douglas County. Past locations include museums, non-profits, University of Kansas learning facilities, and other institutions that make Lawrence and Douglas County a rewarding place to call home. Typically, a representative from the chosen facility will give a tour and describe what the operation does. Agents then walk away with a better understanding of their community’s offerings.
Flavin says the program is a great way for agents to become more knowledgeable of their surroundings so they can pass valuable information on to their clients.
“The more they know about various things in our community that have to do with culture, with education, with service providers and non-profits, things that are part of the rich culture that we share in the community pool of resources, the better they can serve their clients,” Flavin says.
McGrew University gives McGrew agents the chance to enhance their professional and personal lives through education and community outreach.
