Pine Landscape Center on Friday announced the donation of $7,500 in local business gift cards to families in need and organizations assisting the community amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

The gift cards were purchased through Pine’s “We’re In This Together” campaign. Pine designated a portion of each delivery fee in May for donation.

“We could not be more thrilled to support people in need and local businesses at the same time,” said Kathy Pine, owner of Pine Landscape. “We’re honored to be able to pay it forward after all these years of the community supporting Pine Landscape Center.”

Local organizations receiving the gift cards include the Ballard Center, Boys & Girls Club, Family Promise, Just Food, and United Way of Douglas County. Pine is also putting gift cards directly into the hands of local families in need.

Pine Landscape purchased gift cards from local businesses including:
23rd Street Brewery, Alchemy Coffee & Bake House, The Burger Stand, Dash Salon, Delaney & Loew Kitchenalia, Eileen’s Colossal Cookies, El Matador, Great Harvest Bread Company, Henry T’s, Jefferson’s Lawrence, Johnny’s Tavern, Jungle House, La Tropicana, Ladybird Diner, Leeway Franks, Pickleman’s Café, Silas & Maddy’s Ice Cream, The Roost, Uplift Coffee, Wheatfields Bakery Cafe

Pine Landscape Center is a local family-owned and operated landscape supply yard in north Lawrence.
