by | Apr 13, 2021 | Education

Peaslee Technical Training Center and USD 497 are teaming together to present the 1st Annual Douglas County Skilled Trades Job Fair for Douglas County high school students.  Business and industry has been invited to set up informational and interactive booths to introduce students in grades 10-12 to great paying jobs in the skilled trades.  Students will be able to ask questions, practice skills and learn new things about skilled trades.  It is important for students to understand that 75% of jobs do not require a 4 year degree or mountains of college debt.  Great careers and great pay can happen in 2 years or less with little or no debt.  The event will be held Tuesday April 27th at Peaslee Technical Training Center with session one running from 9:30 – 11:30 am and session 2 from 12:30-2:30 pm.  This is an outdoor event with masks required. The event will be moved inside if there is inclement weather.
