The Eldridge announces a multi-faceted renovation of the hotel including the closing of TEN Restaurant and Jayhawker bar beginning March 12, 2018.  The restaurant and bar will reopen with a new image and menu!

(LAWRENCE, KS) – The Eldridge Hotel continues to uphold the principles of tenacity, pride and hospitality.  Standing on the site of the former Free-State Hotel, The Eldridge continues to welcome people to Lawrence.  With our remodel beginning March 12, 2018  we welcome the Community to check our website daily at Eldridgehotel.com for updates on our progress!

The lot directly south of the hotel, will undergo an expansion which has been vacant since 1973.   The lot will be developed as a patio for outdoor dining and a place for the community to gather and continue the history and conversation on the most historic corner in Kansas.

Our guest rooms will remain open for overnight guests and our historic lobby will be available to all guests throughout the process.

With our expansion, we will welcome even more visitors who can learn, and experience The History of The Eldridge Hotel.  The Eldridge is on the National Register of Historic places and is one of the most significant sites in the history of Lawrence and the Free State of Kansas.
