Mike Niedenthal Joins Peaslee Tech as Manufacturing Client Liaison
LAWRENCE – Peaslee Tech Executive Director, Dr. Kevin Kelley, announced today the addition of Michael Niedenthal as the school’s Manufacturing Client Liaison.
Peaslee Tech has developed strong relations with Douglas County manufacturing companies as a reliable provider of training. Over the past few years, Peaslee Tech has provided training to hundreds of manufacturing companies’ employees through a wide array of programs, from frontline leadership to robotics. Mike’s work will focus strictly on providing support and training to Douglas County manufacturing companies.
Mr. Niedenthal has an extensive background in manufacturing, having started his career with Procter & Gamble. He later joined the Mid-America Manufacturing Technology Center (MAMTC) and recently retired from MAMTC, after 25 years of providing Kansas manufacturers assistance in developing and implementing company-wide process improvement and workforce development programs. While at MAMTC, in partnership with Kansas Department of Commerce and its Kansas Industrial Retraining Program, Mike assisted numerous manufacturers to successfully introduce and sustain new business practices and processes throughout their organizations. Resulting from these efforts, Mr. Niedenthal has been nationally recognized for his work with Kansas manufacturers, having received the National NIST/MEP Lean Practitioner of the Year Award and having been selected to serve on the Board of Examiners for the Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Program.
Located at 2920 Haskell Avenue, the Peaslee Tech’s mission is to be a catalyst for economic growth by providing access to technical training to a diverse community of learners to meet the current and emerging needs of our communities and employers. Peaslee Tech offers a wide range of technical and technology courses.
