Drop by Free State’s Eastside Brewery, on the Burroughs Trail, 19th and Moodie Road, on Friday evening, April 29. From 5 until 8 you’ll be able to enjoy beer, food, music, a brewery open house, activities and numerous features about local trails from the folks at FLATKS.org and many other local outdoor organizations. There will opportunity for a “meet the filmmakers” visit with Dave Kendall and Rex Buchanan, who will talk about their recent commemoration of the Santa Fe Trail. There will also be stories about The Last Wild Places of Kansas, and spotting scopes focused on the raptors perched high above on the grain elevator to our south. Our location offers easy access from the trail, so cycling (free bicycle valet parking) or walking is encouraged! Activities for kids, and dogs welcome on leash outside.
