Lawrence, Kansas. (October 1, 2022) – Level Up Robots, a new robotics learning studio providing hands-on robotics training for middle and high school students, is now open in Lawrence. The studio, located at 1520 Wakarusa Suite E, is led by a team with 12 years of robotics coaching experience, including five championship appearances and eight awards. Level Up Robots offers programs for kids who want to learn how to build and program robots as well as collaborate with peers.

Those interested in learning more are invited to stop by during Level Up Robots’ business hours, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 7-9 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to Noon. You can also request additional information by visiting www.LevelUpRobots.com and clicking the “Get Started” link. Students will have the opportunity to sign up for a free session where they will build and drive a simple robot.

“It’s wonderful to see how much the kids grow through these programs,” says Tom Walton, Level Up Robotics’ head coach. “Robotics is a great way to experience technology hands-on, and competition gets them really focused on learning.”

Students at Level Up Robotics will work in teams to:

  • Learn STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) concepts
  • Integrate STEAM to solve real-world problems
  • Explore, build, test and improve their ideas
  • Develop problem-solving, critical thinking, communication and leadership skills

Students who are interested will have the opportunity to form competitive teams to test their skills against others in the region.
