First State Bank & Trust is pleased to announce the addition of Jay Smith to our commercial lending team in Lawrence.

Jay has over 20 years of banking experience including the past 9 years as Lawrence Market President for Central National Bank.   Jay will office at our 6th and Monterey Way bank location where he will primarily focus on building commercial lending relationships and providing expertise in other areas of bank operation.

Smith has lived in Lawrence for 19 years and is a very active community member, including Corpus Christi, Knights of Columbus, Sertoma Club and Luncheon Optimists, among others.  He and his wife Melanie have 4 children; Madelyn, Isabella, Andrew and Gianna.  Smith received his undergraduate degree from Pittsburg State University where he majored in Finance and Business Management.
