Lawrence, Kan. – O’Malley Beverage of Kansas earned the Anheuser-Busch Ambassador of Excellence Top
Performer designation for the company’s performance in 2017, successfully reaching the
distinguished Gold Level of achievement.

The O’Malley organization is one of just seven teams out of 450 to attain the Gold Level in the
program, recognizing the Top Performing Anheuser-Busch wholesalers that achieve exemplary results
in the areas of leadership, teamwork, and commitment.

“It’s letting everyone know the expectations of the day. Come in every day, ready to work. We are
one team,” said sales manager Andrew Collmeyer. “I haven’t seen a team come together like we did in
2017. It was phenomenal.”

The program evaluates Anheuser-Busch wholesalers in three areas: process, results, and execution.
Process involves the day-to-day business of the company. Results are volume targets for sales, and
execution includes programs and distribution objectives. Region Anheuser-Busch representatives
familiar with how O’Malley Beverage operates, encouraged the team to set a goal of becoming an
Ambassador of Excellence.

“If you have the right process and you have the right execution, the theory is that you’re going to
have the right results. You have to trust that if you do the first two, the volume will be
there,” said general manager Mike Bourneuf. “It was something that we have been working hard to
achieve. It was exhausting, but this recognition really motivates us to do it again.”

If O’Malley Beverage achieves the Gold Level Ambassador of Excellence designation three times over
five years, the team will earn the Anheuser-Busch Ambassador of Excellence Big Jake Award, which
includes a trophy, a Budweiser-red sport coat, perks at national meetings, and a local visit from
the World-Famous Budweiser Clydesdales.

“It was the hard work and effort that our entire team put in. I don’t know if there’s a better
feeling as a leader in accomplishing Gold level recognition. Everyone came together and made it
happen,” Collmeyer said.

The leadership team of O’Malley Beverage traveled to Bend, Oregon, earlier this year in
recognition of their Gold Level achievements.
