Would knowing how to edit video benefit you and your career? If your business uses video, learning the basics of video editing could give you an edge. Matt DeSarle, owner of Matty D. Media LLC, will be giving a free class on Thursday, February 7th at the Lawrence Public Library. It is a collaboration with the library’s SOUND+VISION studio. The class will be held from 6-7:30 p.m.
Thursday’s class is the first of two free workshops. Session 1 will focus on editing video with interview subjects. Matt DeSarle will teach things like the proper relationship between video and sound, how to carefully remove an interviewer’s questions, tips to save time, and different editing styles for consideration. He will be using the Final Cut Pro X software to demonstrate. However, the basic principles taught will be applicable to any video editing programs.
The event will be held in “Meeting Room C.”
