Lawrence Restaurant Association will accept applications beginning September 15

Lawrence, KS, September 11, 2020– The Lawrence Restaurant Association is slated to receive $1,650,000 in grant funding to support hospitality businesses in Douglas County that have been negatively impacted by COVID-19.

The grant funds will provide reimbursement for necessary expenditures by hospitality businesses to respond to the COVID-19 public health emergency. This grant program will reimburse Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), sanitation, public health measures, and business interruption related expenses.

Applicants must be locally owned and operated hospitality businesses, have a FEIN, hold a Kansas Food Service or Liquor License, and have or will be in operation between March 1 and December 31, 2020. Continuous operation during this timeframe is not required.

The total amounts available to each business will depend on the number of applicants. Funds will be distributed in two waves to ensure grants are accessible and equitable across the Douglas County Hospitality community.

Douglas County hospitality businesses are invited to view the application at LawrenceRestaurantAssociation.com. Applications may be submitted beginning September 15.  Applications will be accepted until all funds are distributed.
